I went to see Rupert Everett in conversation recently, as part of the London Literary Festival. Everett calls himself an actor who writes but if you haven’t read any of his books, please do, because he is one of the most gifted memoirists writing today - truthful, observant, gossipy in a way that few people are these days for fear of getting cancelled.
